Early Sydney Mug Shots

If mug shots still looked this good, I think I'd go break the law just to have a nice portrait done. Again with the form and function and one following the other and all that. These were mostly taken by police photographers for the simple purpose of getting a clean picture of the accused, and a decent full body pic as well, that's it. But, a century and some odd years later, and you got a real nice looking series of artistic portraits. Check out the style some of these cons are throwing down. Breaking the law just isn't as chic as it used to be, now is it?

Record The Day is a beautiful blog that posts daily collages using images from magazines, scraps (if that’s what she wishes to call them) of paper and jotted notes fastened to record cards that are then stamped with the day’s date.

I love love love her collages. It is such a creative process and each one is better than the other. Think of it like a diary but instead of writing, she uses images.

Alamo Race Track was one of the only bands i really liked in 8th grade (late 2006) I really dont know why they aren't bigger here in the states.. granted their last album was release in 2006 but i personally still haven't gotten sick of their songs. I seriously recommend you open your itunes and download their 1st and 2nd EP..

Elephant Pandas

Elephants painted as pandas are seen at the Royal Elephant Kraal in Ayutthaya province, 80 km (50 miles) north of Bangkok, June 26, 2009. Five of the elephants were led on a walkabout to send a message to the Thai public not to ignore its elephants, the symbolic animal of Thailand. A female panda and its newborn baby in the Chiang Mai zoo have captured the attention of the public.
